R. Kassman changed ownership in @2019, and the new owners have decades of experience working with pianos, formerly in southern CA. Ric Overton, the person who sold me my piano, was accessible, friendly, and intent on finding a piano that met my description and budget. Although there are many gorgeous new pianos in the store, I secured a used Yamaha baby grand, and didn't feel neglected due to my lower budget. Ric seemed genuinely interested in the present condition of the piano I bought, and did a preliminary check of hammers, strings, soundboard, before the technician later regulated it. Aside from the good customer service, the added store perks elevate R Kassman over other shops or online private purchases.The store guarantees the instrument of defects or mechanical failures for ten years, offer free tuning, up-front regulation, and even accepts future trade-ins, crediting full purchase price for five years (assuming the piano is regularly maintained and well-kept.) Check out other stores to survey pianos, and decide what you want, but you should end up at R. Kassman!

My son and I were interested in a used Steinway and Ric O. (owner) and Luke W. (technician) spent 2 hours with us on Sunday sharing their insights, information, and recommendations with us. Luke was there to pull out the action and talk through adjustments, fixes, and even rebuilding. Between the 2 of them, there was never any pressure or smoke in mirrors, just honest conversation and lots of learning. At my request, Ric showed and let us test multiple pianos of incredible quality - it was a truly wonderful experience. In the end, we fell back in love with our current grand piano and decided not to make a change at this time, but I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment!!

Outstanding service and has the best selection of used and new pianos in the area. Prices were reasonable. The owner was extremely knowledgeable and spent a lot of time showing me the ins and outs of the pianos I was interested in, including practically taking one apart to show me the inner workings when I was having trouble deciding on the right one. I did end up buying a piano, and I'm really pleased with the piano and my whole experience. Everything went smoothly including the delivery and tuning service. Highly recommend.

We had such a pleasant experience purchasing our piano from Ric. We were looking for a high quality piano that didn't break the bank. Ric did a great job of listening to our needs and delivering. The service from start to finish was excellent. We had a pleasant shopping experience and didn't feel pressured. When the piano arrived in our home, it was even more beautiful than we remembered it because it had been polished up a bit. The first complimentary in-home tuning was a pleasant surprise. You really feel like you're being taken care of when you purchase a piano from Ric. I highly recommend Kassman. You won't be disappointed. My daughter LOVES her piano. It plays so beautifully and looks lovely in our home.
